Review: Sandra Brush Set from Beauty Cosmetics

Hi there!!

I for one, love to look all dolled up and pretty! But sometimes, it is nice to look fresh and simple yet presentable, right? Here is my video on how to achieve a simple and fresh day makeup look.

In this video, I used a brush set from Beauty Cosmetics.I know right? This is my third set and I just love love them! Here is my full review, I hope you find it useful!! :)

Brush Set Name: Sandra Set
Price: P1,200
Brought from: Beauty Cosmetics
Brushes: 10
Color: Red and black handle
Hair: Natural and one synthetic

Here are close up pictures of each brushes. I will try to describe each and tell you what I think about them. :)

1. Tapered Fluffy bronzing/blush  brush
This brush is great for applying blush. It is very soft and fluffy! This is my sister's fave brush. It does not pick up a lot of the product but  blends is able to blend it well on the cheeks. It is also a great bronzing brush because it distributes the product evenly especially on the forehead and jawline.

2. Dual Fiber Stippling Brush

I use this brush to apply my foundation if I want a sheer finish. I also use this to blend cream blushes.

3. Round Large Powder Brush
I use this brush to set my foundation with a powder. It is big enough to cover large areas of my face which makes the job faster.

4. Foundation Brush
Looks familiar? This is the reason why I bought this brush set. This looks like something from Real Techniques. I can say that I am not disappointed because it does the job really well. It makes foundation application easier and faster.

5. Flat Contour Brush
Oh my! I am in love with this brush! This is great for contouring the sides of the nose and the hallows of the cheeks as well.

6. Blending Brush

I use this brush to blend the edges of my eyeshadow. It is able blend well.

7. Fluffy Blending Brush
I use this brush to blend my crease area. The bristles are long and soft so it is perfect for applying/blending eyeshadows in the crease area.

8. Dense Blending Brush

I am not really sure if that it how it is called but I noticed that this brush is much more dense and I prefer so it is not good for blending eyeshadows. I prefer using this to blend my concealer and it is perfect!

9. Stiff Slanted Brush

I use this brush to fill in my eyebrows and apply eyeliner.

10. Lip Brush/Concealer Brush

I am not sure if this is a concealer brush or a lip brush, but I use this to apply lipcolor.

OVERALL THOUGHTS:

What I like:

              • Affordable
              • Nice, sturdy handles
              • does not shed
              • very soft
              • easy to clean
              • dries fast
Some Issues:
              • Did not come with a bag/brush holder
              • the set did not come with a flat shader brush or an eyeshadow brush

All in all, I really recommend this brush set. I mean for price, you get good quality brushes. I do hope they do come in a bag/pouch next time and maybe they can add flat eyeshadow brush maybe?

Thank you for reading my post! What is your favorite brush set/brand? Please do share in the comments below!

Take care!

REVIEW: FACE PERFECTION BRUSH SET BY BEAUTY COSMETICS

Hello everyone!!

Today's product is the FACE PERFECTION BRUSH SET from Beauty Cosmetics. I got mine as one of the prizes from a contest that I have recently won. These brushes are the second set of brushes that I got from the same company. I was very satisfied happy with the Smokey Eye Travel Kit that I got last December so I cannot wait to try this brush set as well.

They came in a pouch like this which I think was nice and reusable.

 FACTS:

Product Name: Face Perfection Brush Set
Company: Beauty Cosmetics
Price: (I got mine for free) P850 on the website
Material: Synthetic fibers
Handle: Black and Silver

Brushes in the set:
BC FLAT TOP KABUKI
This brush is great if you want to achieve more coverage since is it quite dense and flat. It can be used for thick liquid and cream products. It can also be used for powder products such as powder foundations and loose powder for more coverage. It really packs on the foundation and blend it well without streaking. However, there might some streaking when used with liquid-y products and since it grabs powder products quite well, be sure to tap off the excess before dabbing to your face.
BC ROUND KABUKI BRUSH
This brush has rounded bristles and also quite dense. This is great for blending  liquid-y products and applying loose setting powder. It does not streak and does not shed as well. This can also be used for powder and cream products for a sheerer coverage.
BC TAPERED KABUKI
This brush is also dense and has a tapered end. It is good for contouring the nose and cheek bones because it gives a much precise application. The sides of the brush can be used to blend concealers under the eyes as well. this brush can be used on both on liquid and cream products.

BC ANGLED KABUKI BRUSH
This is by far my favorite of the four because it is very versatile. It can be used to apply foundation and powder. I also use this to contour my face and apply blush. It can be used for powder and cream products as well.

MY THOUGHTS:
  • Affordable
  • Handles are sturdy and does not look cheap
  • Does not shed and has minimal streaking
  • Very easy to wash and dries quite fast
  • The fibers are very soft and densely packed
  • Available locally (FB PAGE: Beauty cosmetics)
  • Comes with a pouch and brush cover for easy storage handy for travel.

I recommend this for those who are on a budget but wants to have quality face brushes. :)

Beauty Cosmetics Smokey Eye Travel Kit

I dont know why, but everytime I go out somewhere, even for work or before when I was studying, I always carry a huge bag and 80% of my bag's content is mostly makeup/kikay kit. That is the reason why I always have to buy a bag after maybe 3 to 4 months because I put a lot of things in them. One of my "must haves" in my bag are my makeup brushes. I dont really know why but to be honest, I carry with me a huge pencil case and this is where I put the brushes that I bring. I have brushes for my eyebrows ( for kilay emergencies), eyeshadows and powder brushes. It might see ridiculous but I tend to feel very uneasy if forget to bring my brushes. I do think that it is quite inconvenient to bring a huge pencil case with my brushes inside  them plus it is a little heavy and takes up a lot of space.

Anyway, I recently purchased a Smokey Eye Travel kit from Beauty Cosmetics and am I quite happy with it. I got it for 300 pesos and I ordered 2 sets, one for my sister and one for me. I

Here are the detailed pictures of the set:
It came in a pink pouch. I was actually surprised that it was smaller than I expected. The picture in Facebook looked bigger but when I checked the picture again, it does say that it is 5 inches.

The case is very small and compact. It hardly takes up any space.  It is cute and stylish as well.

Here are a closer look of the brushes:

I use the precision brush to smudge my eyeliners and it is flexible enough that it can smudge the product without making it look muddy. I use the lip brush to line my waterline.
The angle brush is good for eyebrows. However, it picks up a lot of eyebrow powder so be sure to swipe some of it off at the back of your hand before using it on your eyebrows. The pencil brush is great for applying eyeshadow on the crease area.
  •  I am not really a fan of the eye shader brush. I think it is not dense enough to pick up color.
  •  I use the flat eyeliner brush to apply eyeshadow to the inner corner of my eyes.

Of all the brushes in this kit, this is my favorite. Both are dense enough to pick up color and transfer the color to my lids. Using the angle shading brush on my outer corners really makes a difference and makes making a smokey eye look super easy. I use the dome blending brush to blend my eye shadows especially on my crease and brow bone as well.

Things that I like:
  • Affordable
  • small and compact
  • picks up colors easily
  • does not shed
  • fibers are soft and smooth
Things that you might not like:
  •  its less than 6 inches I believe, so if you have big hands, you might think its too small
  • its a little difficult to clean, I tried wiping it with baby wipes, I had a hard time wiping off the product
  • the lip brush does not come with a plastic cover thingy, so if you use use it as a lip brush, you have to be careful to keep it clean
I recommend this to people like me who are on a budget but looking for good eye shadow brushes or to anyone who travels like to keep an eye brush kit handy.

All in all, I like this a lot. I don't have to carry a lot of brushes anymore. I haven't tried brushes from Sigma and other more famous brand of brushes but I can definitely say that I will continue using these brushes.
