Iloilo City Food Find: T.S.K. (Tilawi Shawarma Ko) /(Taste My Shawarma)

I was browsing my Facebook home when I saw a picture of a burrito that my friend uploaded. I was hungry at that time and looking at the picture made me more hungry (it was around 11 pm at that time). I also happen to crave the burrito from Army Navy in Cebu and so I was just super frustrated when I saw the picture and knowing that I could not eat/buy it because I was living an hour away from the city and it was in the middle of the night!

Anyway, the next day, I asked my sister to go with me to that restaurant so that I can 1. try the food and 2. satisfy my burrito craving. So there we went....I was actually surprised with the menu that they had. I think if you are from Iloilo, you will find it naughty and funny at the same time. The name of the restaurant  was T.S.L that stands for: TILAWI SHAWARMA KO..which in English means: Taste my Shawarma. The name of the restaurant itself was pretty interesting and will definitely make any Ilonggo (like me!) curious enough to try and see what they offer.

So, upon arriving there, I saw that it was not a fancy restaurant, and the ambiance is more relaxed and casual which I like. I can imagine bringing my friends here and hang out for hours. There were already many people there and most of them were professionals(wearing suits) and they seem to enjoy the food.

The place is not really that large and it was a little humid, good thing the area is open and they do have  electric fans. :)

They have an open kitchen so I was able to see how the prepared my food and while waiting, I glanced around the shop and read all their interesting menus. :)

Okay, so this is the most interesting part of the restaurant. The way they named their food was really naughty but hey, I'm sure this will make them popular.
For non-Ilonggo speakers there, here is the reason why the names where naughty:
The words, though abbreviations, when spoken out loud, suonds like these:
BLAT (b*lat)- vagina
BLAT Mu: your vagina
BLAT Mu eh: your vagina! (but with conviction)
BLAT mu beh: give me your vagina
BLAT mu with PH: your vagina with PH (PH is a popular feminine wash)

The crew was friendly and nice. The food prices are quite reasonable as well. I ordered their Burrito and I chose "Safe". Apparently, they had two kinds of burrito, once is"SAFE" and the other is "Naked". :)

The remains....

The burrito tasted good. However, I would not say that is tastes like "burrito" because it has more of a "shawarma" taste.  I love it but I guess I still have to find a good burrito here in Iloilo. I can definitely see my self ordering this again though ad maybe I'll try the "naked" one. But of course, I want to try their Shawarma  and  BLAT products as well.

All in all, I quite enjoyed my eating experience there and definitely encourages you to try them out in case you are here in Iloilo or visiting Iloilo soon.  I know I'm not a good food/restaurant reviewer.Hahah!! I just want to write about my experience and tell you guys about it!

The pictures were taken using my celphone and as you can see I also do not have any photog skill whatsoever!Haha!

Thank you very much for reading my post! Please do comment below if you have been here!

MY FIRST MINI HAUL ♥♥♥

Hi everyone!!

I'm back! After being MIA for a week, I'm now back for a quickie (post). I was a little busy this past few weeks that I could not find the time to do a review and my brain  has been super dry (if there is such a thing ) that I really could not think of ANYTHING to write. Anyhooo....I'm here in Cebu right now for a quick trip and I was able to go around the Ayala mall and was able to buy some stuff! I have been holding out buying makeup stuff for almost a month now and that is because I am saving for this trip...you know....I might find something here that I could not find back home in Iloilo...which I did!!And oohh...I'm quite happy today. I strolled the mall alone, ate 3 scoops of gelato....went to a few stores and bought some goodies ( not much, but that's okay!)

Moving on,here are the goodies that I bought  today:

Got these earrings from a shop called Accessorize and they have a sale of 30%  off on most of their items so that actually made me come in the store. they do have a lot of really nice looking accessories and what I love about their store is that they are categorized according to color and theme. I especially love the Mediterranean inspired group of accessories. They have like blues and turquoise and purples...so so pretty!! however, being the thirfty gal that I am, I settled for these pair of earrings. I love hearts and the color of the earrings is more of light goldish ...which I think is nice and simple and it was the cheapest there!Hahah! They cost around P150.00 (approx US$3-4) which is pretty pricey for me but I paid only P105 because of the 30% off so, not bad I think.

IN2ITWATERPROOF EYEBROW COLOR

Finally!!I dont know why but this is ALWAYS out of stock in Iloilo! I have read and seen a lot of positive reviews on this and I really wanted to get my hands on it. So, when I saw this in the department store , I immediately purchased it! I cannot wait to try it soon and maybe do a separate review on this in the future.
Price: P299.00 (approx US$6-7)

MAYBELLINE BABYLIPS

Maybelline is currently having a sale on their P250.00 and up products and I went to their counter to check if  there is something that will catch my eye. Unfortunately, I was not so interested on their products and was about to leave when these caught my eye and suddenly I felt my lips were dry so of course, what do you do if you have dry lips? Apply lip balm. And what do you do if you have none? Buy a new one or two if they're cheap and looked attractive.
Price: Red: P79.00, Pink: P99.00

SELECT MOISTURE COVER

Of all my purchases today, I was not really prepared to buy this (ok..maybe I did..don't judge!). After eating my 3 scoops of gelato..(oh yeah...brain freeze baybeh!)...I decided I felt a little sleepy so I went for a walk and my feet brought me to the MAC stall and i immediately went to the lipstick section and I was very shy to try them on at first but the super pretty beauty consultant/sales clerk encouraged me to try them on and of course, I tried the MAC Morange first and I discovered, I was not meant for it.It made me look darker. I then tried Ruby Woo which I find super matte and just not right for me. I then tried on Russian red, and I still did not like it. I was about  to give up when I tried on Chatterbox! And ooohhhlalalaalalal///lovee itt!! Unofrtunately it was sold out...so... bummer!! I went to the concealer/foundation section, and I ask Johanna (the pretty girl's name) what type of concealer is good for my dry skin and complained that concealers tend to settle and emphasize the lines of my undereyes. She told me that it is better to use liquid concealers because it won't settle on lines  and can be put on top of foundations without making it look cakey. I was not really planning on buying anything (ok..yes...maybe I did..please do understand!) but when she tried it on me and then topped it off with a mineralized skin finish ...I really saw a huge difference!! My undereye circles are gone! I was sold... I bought one. .... I think this will be a good investment since I work late ad wake up early...so goodbye dark circles!Hopefully!
Price: P1000.00 (approx US$22.00)

I felt really guilty though, so I went back to Gelatissimo and enjoyed one scoop of their gelato in Tiramisu...and everything just faded away....

Just take a look!! My dark circles are gone!!

Thank you for reading my long post (or if you are just looking at the pictures, still thank you!). I hope you somehow felt that you did not waste your time. :)

And oh!If you are in Cebu...please checkout ACCESSORIZE in Ayala... I would have bought more if I had the money.

Have you tried any of there products?Do let me know in the comment section below :)

Take care!!

CHEAP FINDS PART 2: CUTE STONE EARRINGS AND RINGS

 Hello everyone!!

As you can see from the title and the picture, this post is about some cute and cheap rings and earrings that I bought from the Fashion Market in Market Market. I don't wear a lot of rings but I recently got into them and so I wanted to expand my ring collection a little bit. I don't like shelling huge amount of money on them so when I asked the lady selling these rings how much they are, I was really surprised ans ended up buying five. :)
These rings cost P50 (approx. US$1.2) but since I bought four, I only paid  P160.00 (approx US$4) for all of them. I chose pink, blue,  green and black.
All of them are adjustable so then can fit my fingers well. The copper wires are thick enough and wrapped around the stone so the rings are quite sturdy.

The next ring I bought is also for P40.00 (US$1) and it is made of purple crystals. This one is not adjustable but it does fit my middle and index finger. Like the other rings, this ring is also quite sturdy.

The last thing that I got from Market Market is this cute pair of earrings. I do own a number of earrings so I limited myself from buying a lot of earrings but when I saw this, I fell in love with it instantly because I never had an orange earring before and this one looks exotic and perfect for summer. I got this for P40.00 as well. :)

So how about you? Please do share and comment down below if you have any cheap beauty buy  because I would love to see them too!!

CHEAP FINDS PART 1: ORGANIC SOAPS

 Hello everyone!!

My sister and I celebrated our 25th birthday last Sunday and so we decided to have a mini vacation in the NaTional Capital Region (Philippines).  We were staying in Taguig City and this is my first time here so we decided to go around and see what's in store for us in this city.

First on the list are these awesome organic soaps that we found while browsing around Market Market in Bonifacio Global City. There was a stall there that carries different kinds of organic soaps, from whitening to moisturizing to slimming soaps. Aside from that, you can choose whether you want to buy per bar of soap at P40.00 (less than $1) or you can choose to buy by chunks at P220.00 ($5-6) per kilogram. I prefer buying by chunks because I find it more economical and convenient. You can choose what kind of soap you want, have it weighed and pay for it. In my case I paid around P76.00 ( $1-2) and I got a lot of stuff. Unfortunately, I forgot the name of the store but just go to the Fashion Market at Market Market and you will find the stall there.

These are all I got for less than P100.00!!

This one has a fresh, clean scent and if you have tried Lime soap from DLC, this smells exactly the same and that one cost more than P200 per bar.

Kojic Acid + Orange Soap

Placenta Soap
Benefits:
-assists in renewing skin and reduces wrinkles
-lightens and fades skin pigmentation
-reduces appearance of pores

Chocolate Soap
This is my favorite!! I love the smell and it stays in my skin the whole day.

-good for skin renewal
-contains anti-oxidants  that help protect the skin from sun damage and premature aging

Blueberry with Shea butter soap
Benefits:
- have anti-aging properties

I can't wait to use all these soaps. I am the kind of person who likes to use different soaps especially at night. So far, I have used the blueberry with shea butter and chocolate soaps and I love them so far. Please do tell me if you have tried using these soaps and what kind of soap do you like?
